First time visit today. Hard working owner and so down to earth. Food is great and unbelievably cheap considering the high quality. I wish this type of business all the success in the world
We were looking for a spot for lunch when in the area and found this one on Google maps. With such high reviews, we figured we'd have to try it. It's a very small restaurant, bit of a hole in the wall. The food was fantastic and the owner seemed really nice. When we went it was about 11:45 and the place was packed. A lot of the people that work in the area go there for lunch. Since most of them were eating soup, I figured we should try it. Great decision. It was delicious. If in the area again we will definitely go back.I had to give it a four on atmosphere instead of a five just because the place could use a little bit of work. But I don't think anybody goes there for that. They go for the food and the friendliness of the owner.
Edit: 3 years ago I wrote a review about this place after having a first date here! So we decided to celebrate our 3 year anniversary by coming back for more I ordered a cappuccino and a corned beef sandwich, and my boyfriend ordered the egg and cheese sandwich and some tea. Everything was delicious! We finished it off with a muffin, just like last time! Yassir was very happy when we told him our story and was super attentive. I wish we lived closer so we could become regulars!Original Review Feb/2022: I love this place. I had a first date here and I had such a lovely time; the owner was super friendly and made sure that our tea cups were always full, and gave us one of the best homemade chocolate-raspberry muffins I've ever had!! He even cut it into quarters so I could share it with my date, it was so sweet of him!!
The place is nice little cafe where the owner Mr. Yasser welcomes you with a warm smile. He solely does everything and from scratch. The menu is limited consisting of sandwich salads soup and drink. The service is homely so is the food. The best thing is it's very cheap and the quality is top notch. I tried the roast beef sandwich and the turkey sandwich and added soup in the side. The quantity along with the quality was really good. I really enjoyed it and would totally recommend it.
Amazing dining experience and vibes. Service was excellent and the food was such good value. Make sure you get the soup sandwich comboWill be sure to come back again! Great neighborhood gem and so charming
My gf and I were looking for a soup and sandwich and chose Yassers Cafe because we saw the great google reviews and we were not disappointed! A cozy, cheap eats diner, Yasser was welcoming and friendly from the moment we walked in. The sandwiches were 6 and they were just what we were looking for. Yasser is a gracious and wonderful owner who gave us free chocolates and made us feel like a part of his community. Definitely recommend if you’re in the Burnaby area!
The service and food made from scratch is absolutely delicious. Is a friendly owner, chef, service, (same person) and always makes me feel welcome at home!It is a hidden gem and I'm always surprised by the flavor and affordability!
Wow, what an amazing gem! Very affordable, excellent atmosphere, and delicious food. I got a soup, sandwich, and latte for 9, and it's all homemade in the best way. I plan on coming here a lot.
